Southwestern gets past Warbirds

Cole Dunlavey drove in four runs on two hits, but Argyle/Black Hawk Warbirds fell to Southwestern 18-8 on Monday.

The Warbirds got on the board in the top of the first inning after Chandler Johnsen grounded out, scoring one run, and Dunlavey homered to left field, scoring two runs.

Southwestern jumped into the lead in the bottom of the first when Hendricks drew a walk, scoring one run, Keleher doubled, scoring two runs, and Busch hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

Southwestern scored five runs on two hits in the bottom of the second inning. Keleher was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Craugh was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Busch drew a walk, scoring one run, and Gleason singled, scoring two runs.

Southwestern added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Solverson doubled down the left field line, Argyle/Black Hawk Warbirds committed an error, Stephenson was struck by a pitch, and each scoring one run.

Trent Bidlingmaier stepped on the hill first for Argyle/Black Hawk Warbirds. The righty allowed four hits and eight runs over one and one-third innings, striking out none and walking five.

Leadoff hitter Berget led Argyle/Black Hawk Warbirds with three hits in three at bats. Johnsen collected two hits for Argyle/Black Hawk Warbirds in three at bats. Argyle/Black Hawk Warbirds play at home on Thursday against Barneveld.
