
ANNA TISCH, a former Pecatonica High School athlete, placed well in two events for the University of Mary (ND) women’s track team last weekend.
Tisch, a sprinter/hurdler, used her home track to her advantage at the Al Bortke Classic.
She placed second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1 minute 3.94 seconds, just a little more than one second behind teammate Aspen Eslinger.
Tisch also ran the second leg of the 4×400-meter relay, which won the event in 3:58.94.
UMary will be in California this weekend, sending athletes to the Cal State LA Twilight Open and Bryan Clay Invitational beginning Thursday.

ELIJAH KNUTSON, a former Pecatonica High School athlete, played a role in a recent victory for the Wisconsin Lutheran College (WLC) baseball team.
Knutson, a 5-foot 10-inch sophomore catcher, picked up his second run batted in (RBI) of the season during a 12-3 rout of Maranatha Baptist.
In the sixth inning against the Sabercats, he reached on an error by the third baseman, plating the 10th run for the Warriors.
WLC (8-19, 2-10) has road games at Carroll University on Thursday and Dominican University (III) on Saturday.
