Albany pulled away from Argyle/Black Hawk to claim a win in a Six Rivers East baseball 13-3 Friday.
The Warbirds jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Chandler Johnsen singled to plate a run, and Trent Bidlingmaier doubleddriving in two more. But that was it for the Warbirds.
Albany got rolling in the bottom of the second, scoring six runs on five hits to take the lead, 6-3. The biggest blow in the inning was a triple by Presley Hadwig that drove in two.
A single by Hadwig, and a double by Tyler Constantini helped Albany extend their early lead in the third.
Johnsen started on the mound for Argyle/Black Hawk Warbirds. He surrendered seven hits and nine runs (six earned) over three innings, striking out two and walking two.
Jackson Berget, Johnsen, and Bidlingmaier each got one hit for the Warbirds. Bidlingmaier led Argyle/Black Hawk Warbirds with two runs batted in. The outfielder went 1-for-3 on the day.
