Kiaya York homered and drove in two runs for Pecatonica but it wasn’t enough as they lost 12-7 to Potosi/Cassville in Six Rives softball Friday.
The Vikings had 11 hits with a trio of players getting two. Brooklyn Johnsrud and Lila Schlimgen both went 2×3 with Greta Schraepfer 2×4. Schraepfer had a double and an rbi.
Also getting hits for the Vikings were Chloe Buckland, Brooklyn Muench, Katelynne Jorenby and Leaha Dougherty.
Jorenby had two rbis and Muench one.
Jenna Kurschner, Sam Hittesdorf and Cayla Doescher all pitched for the Vikings. Kurschner went 4 1/3 with five strikeouts. Hittesdorf added one K in 1 1/3. Doescher want one frame.
Eight of the 12 runs for P/C were earned.
