ANNA TISCH, a former Pecatonica High School athlete, was in one event for the University of Mary (ND) women’s track team last weekend.
Tisch, a sophomore sprinter/hurdler, was the top finisher not to qualify for the finals of the 400-meter hurdles at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference outdoor championships.
She placed ninth out of 27 entrants with a time of 1:03.23.
The Marauders finished runner-up in the meet with 161 points, just six shy of Minnesota State.
UMary returns to action May 21 at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships in Emporia, Kan.

JAMESON JOHNSON, a former Pecatonica High School athlete, recorded a hit in all three games for the Rock Valley College (Ill) baseball team last weekend.
Johnson, a 6-foot 2-inch sophomore UTL, batted .375 (3-for-8) as the Golden Eagles went 2-1 at the NJCAA Region 4 semi-finals.
Two of his hits were home runs; one each against Sauk Valley Community College (III) and Morton College (III).
He drove in five runs and scored five times himself.
RVC (36-16) plays Kankakee Community College (III) on Thursday.
