Argyle/Black Hawk scored two runs in both the first and third innings Thursday and held on to down Benton/Shullsburg 4-3 in Six Rivers softball action.
Argyle/Blackhawk took the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the first on base hits by Sam Kammes and Claire Holmes. Kammes knocked in Brianna Wilhelmson who had walked. Holmes drove home courtesy runner Jerzey Wiegel.
ABH added two runs in the third when Lexie Wonders doubled down the left field line. She plated Jerzey Wiegel who came on to courtesy run for Sam Kammes who had walked and Kylie Butler who also reached on a free pass.
The fourth ABH hit came from Brynn Harris who also pitched the win. She spaced seven hits, gave up three unearned runs, walked one and struck out eight.
