Potosi/Cassville did not have a double header scheduled Monday but no one told the softball gods.
The two teams spent 15 innings together on the field, most of them with a run apiece until they both scored in the 15th. P/C took a 2-1 lead in the top half of the frame but ABH answered and scored the winning run when Alexis Tregembo stole home. Tregembo had reached earlier on a
Courtesy runner Emma Johnson tied the game when she scored on an error. She was running for Adrionna Ubersox who opened final frame with a single. Tregembo had singled and Johnsen raced home when the ball got past the outfielder.
Ubersox was 2×5 for ABH. Macy Harris, Brianna Wilhelmson, Tregembo and Sam Kammes added to ABH’s six hits.
Brynne Harris went all 15 innings in the circle for ABH. She gave up seven hits, two unearned runs, walked three and sent 15 back to the bench via strikeouts.
Kylie Butler’s ground out scored the first run for ABH that held up through 14 frames. That run came in the first inning.
P/C tied it in the seventh and a bunch of scoreless innings followed.
