Agyle/Black Hawk uses Harris gem to trip CC

Argyle/Black Hawk hurler Brynn Harris gave up two runs in the first inning then shut out Cuba City the rest of the way to help her team to a 3-2 win in non-conference softball action Friday.

The ace also played a big part in the winning run scoring in the fourth.

ABH pulled within one in the third scoring without a hit. Kylie Butler walked then a hit batter and another walk loaded the bases. Brynn Harris was the second batter hit by a pitch which allowed Butler to score.

ABH plated two runs that tied it and won it in the fourth. Brianna Wilhelmson tripled and scored on a single by Kylie Butler to tie the game. Butler stole second and third then crossed the plate with the game winner on a ground out by Clare Holmes.

Harris was tough in the circle. She allowed six hits, two runs (one earned) with a walk and four strikeouts.

ABH also had six hits. Wilhelmson’s triple was the big one along with singles by Sam Kammes, Butler, Alexis Tregembo, Holmes and Macy Harris.
