Blanchardville Woman’s Club Sponsors Student for Wisconsin Leadership Seminar

Sophomore Eden Graffin- Marquardt has been chosen as the Pecatonica High School representative to attend the Wisconsin Leadership Seminar (WILS) June 12-14 at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wis. Eden is the daughter of Jennifer Graffin- Marquardt and Thomas Marquardt. Eden plays trumpet in the Pecatonica High School Band. She is also involved in choir, forensics, track and is a student council representative. Her hobbies are writing, poetry, art, crafts, coding, reading, and singing.

The Wisconsin Leadership Seminar is a three-day conference that identifies outstanding

sophomores throughout Wisconsin for being responsible citizens in their community/school and provides them with the opportunity to recognize their leadership potential. WILS encourages leadership development through emphasis on four pillars: responsibility, service, inclusiveness, and decision-making. WILS is funded entirely through charitable contributions by private individuals, corporations, and service organizations. The cost to sponsor a student is $250 which goes towards their lodging, meals, transportation to sites for community service, a WILS t-shirt, and other supplies.
