When the call went out for a new head coach for the Argyle/Black Hawk baseball co-op a veteran mentor answered the call.
Back as head coach is Chuck Bredeson who previously guided Argyle as a stand alone program in 2012 – 2014.
A/BH logged a 1-14 record last season and finished last in the Six Rivers East. Southwestern eliminated A/BH in first round of WIAA Division 4 Regionals.
There were no seniors on last year’s team.
Back for A/BH are:
-Jackson Berget-Senior, Pitcher/Infield
-Trent Bidlingmaier-Junior, Centerfield
-Cole Dunlavey-Junior, Outfield
-Mitchell Johnsen-Junior, Pitcher/ Infield
Bredeson welcomes several players he expects to contribute.
They include:
-Braylon Bidlingmaier-Sophomore, Catcher
-Ole Isely-Junior, Pitcher -Chandler Johnson
-Junior First Base/Outfield
-Parker Cline-Sophomore, Outfield
-Max Soper-Junior, Outfield
-Seabastian Moen-Sophomore, Utility
Bredeson picks Pecatonica and Barneveld as the Six Rivers East frontrunners.
As for the co-op: “We will be very young with not much varsity experience,” Bredeson said. “We will work hard to end the year as a better team than we started.”
A/BH is assisted by Casey Berget who is in his third season.
