UW-Whitewater reveals winners of University Writing Awards
WHITEWATER – A total of 12 students at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater earned 2026 University Writing Awards for writing in an academic course.
The following students from your coverage area were honored:
Kory Makos, a Journalism major from Argyle, won the Distinguished Writing award(s) with his piece titled
"The Effects of Avian Influenza on the Whitewater Community."
Bri Peterson, a Communication Sciences and Disorders major from Blanchardville, who won the Honorable Mention Writing award(s) with her piece titled "Supporting Student Use and Evaluation of AI Image Generation."
