Albany picked up a third set win but the match belonged to Argyle as the Orioles downed the Comets 3-1 in a Six Rivers East battle Tuesday. Argyle won in four at Albany, 25- 14, 25-8, 24-26, 25-10
The Orioles were also able to enjoy some record setting history in the win.
“It was an exciting night as our setter Avari Steiner got her 1000th assist,” Orioles coach Jen Butler pointed out. “Very proud of her,” added Butler. “This is only her second year of setting. Setting is such a key role on team as the ball runs through you almost every play. “
Butler also praised the play of freshman Haleigh Fish.
“Haliegh had a great game with 16 kills, and 9 aces,” Butler said.
