The Blanchardville Woman’s Club Needs Your Input!

The Blanchardville Woman’s Club has been the driving force behind the planters that line Main Street in Blanchardville. In the summer, we purchase flowers, maintain the planter boxes, and have volunteers watering several days a week. In other seasons, we try to incorporate seasonal decorations. With the construction on Main St, we have the opportunity (and the need) to create or purchase new planter boxes. There is also the possibility for different kinds of beautification such as metal sculpture or other permanent decorative art. We have asked downtown businesses to fill a short survey to gather input, but the BWC would also like to hear from residents or other interested parties!

Please take a moment to let us know your thoughts! Did you like the previous planters? Were there too many or too few? Did you like the plantings or have thoughts on what they should be going forward? Is there a certain kind of planter you’d prefer, such as aggregate cement, steel or wood-look recycled plastic? Would you prefer public art over annual plantings? Do you have a great idea for beautification that we may not have considered?

Once we have gathered public opinion, we will be fundraising for the best options. THANK YOU in advance for your help in making Blanchardville a beautiful place to live, work and shop! Ways to communicate your thoughts:
