Vikings cruise past S/B

Four costly errors led to six unearned runs and helped Pecatonia down Shullsburg/Benton 9-1 in Six Rivers play Tuesday.

The Vikings got on the board in the third inning when Austin Enloe put down a sacrifice bunt that scored two runs.

Enloe earned the win for the Vikings. He allowed only one hit and one run (zero earned) over six innings, striking out eight and walking two. Ashton McNett finished, striking out two.

McNett led the Pec hitters with three hits in four trips. He had a pair of doubles and knocked in three runs. Enloe drove in a pair with a 1×3 day. Cooper Schrapfer also had a double for Pec.

Desmond Morrissey went 1-for- 3 at the plate to lead Shullsburg/Benton Varsity Knights in hits.

Ashton McNett led Pecatonica Varsity Vikings with two hits in four at bats from the leadoff position. Kale Hendrickson stole two bases. Pecatonica Varsity Vikings stole seven bases in the game.
