Eight hits and five Highland errors helped Pecatonica to a 9-1 in Tuesday in a Six Rivers baseball game.
Cooper Schraepfer was 2×3 with a home run and two rbis for the Vikings. Reid Schlimgen had two hits with one a double. Kashton Gross had two hits and two rbis.
Luke Leonard and Marty Anderson both had one hit.
Anderson pitched the win with six strong innings. He gave up two hits and struck out 11. Austin Enloe worked the seventh with one strikeout.
Kadn Washa, Griffin Wineski and Jack Tarrell all saw mound time for the Cardinals.
Washa and Tucker Degenhardt had the two Highland hits.
Highland scored in the first and held the lead until the third when the Vikings scored three. They went on from there.
